The “key” to self-defense is simplicity

Posted by Tyrone Turner on April 17, 2011

There are a lot of martial arts and reality/combatives instructors who teach lethal, illegal-to-carry weaponry. As a law-abiding citizen, it should never be your goal to maim or kill someone. All you should be interested in is defending yourself and making an escape. There is a lot of videos out there showing knife techniques and other exotic weaponry. In my humble opinion as a person who has been training in the martial arts for nearly 20 years is to focus on simple-to-use less-than-lethal techniques and weaponry.

That is the “key” to success in a self-defense situation.

Speaking of keys…

Martial arts master, Robert Moran, created an inexpensive, legal-to-carry, very formidable weapon called theSharp Shooter Self-Defense Keychain. This weapon has the best attributes of a pocket stick, and lanyard, and a flail. A kubaton, garrote, and nunchaku are popular examples of the 3 aforementioned weapons. With a Sharp Shooter Keychain you get all 3-in-1.

Here is how it looks (minus keys that you have to add to it):

To get an idea of how it is used, check out this YouTube video featuring my teacher and friend, David Bunch (aka, “Sensei Buddha”).

I encourage you to get one today.

Visit Master Moran’s website at www.BushidoProductions.com to place your order. Also, visit Master Moran’s YouTube page at www.YouTube.com/Zankwack.

All the best,
